Research and design starts with an initial discovery call to discuss your needs, budget, and timeline. Getting to further know your interests and lifestyle helps me find a starting place and acts as a guide throughout the entire process. The design stages vary depending on the scope of the project. Some clients find conceptual work helpful that we refine over time before moving forward. Others may have a clear vision of what they want and I’m able to assist them by finding the vintage pieces or custom furnishings that they’ve always wanted but don’t know where to look.
Sourcing and Procurement
Sourcing is the most essential part of what I do. The thing about one-of-a-kind objects is just that; there is no inventory to draw from. When not working for clients I am constantly sourcing items of interest using a selective approach to curate a timeless collection for when they’re needed most. It’s always easiest to find the perfect martini table or day bed when you absolutely don’t need one for the project you’re currently working on. I search for pieces that are uniquely beautiful and of quality craftsmanship that can blend between design styles and last a lifetime.
