What the Mediterranean Diet means today.

It’s easy to look at past eras and think of how golden they were. A time before cell phones, social media, and having to continuously measure our carbon footprints. I myself am guilty of it, getting lost in the travel writing of Ernest Hemingway and D.H. Lawrence and thinking of how I would thrive in simpler times—eating rustic home-cooked meals at seaside inns and drinking cheap wine in a moonlit piazza.

About me.

I’m Julie, a Nutritional Consultant and private cook. I obtained a Certificate in Nutrition and Healthy Living online through Cornell University and have since continued my studies with a focus on the Mediterranean Diet and other cultures who exemplify good health.

I was drawn towards the traditional Mediterranean diet and lifestyle because it focuses on overall health and wellbeing while enjoying life. Achieving your fitness goals and losing weight are a natural byproduct of daily practices and dietary choices that celebrate eating and cooking nutritious, affordable meals reminiscent of a summer holiday.
